Apostille & Attestation.
Prepare your documents for overseas use.
Tell us where your document was issued, where it will be used and which organisation has requested it. Start with a clear understanding of the document and destination before arranging any processing.
Enquiries are welcome for all countries. The applicable route and available assistance are confirmed individually.
This enquiry does not certify a document, confirm acceptance or authorise the collection of originals.
Confirm the exact requirement before processing.
The words “apostille”, “attestation”, “legalisation” and “certified copy” should not be treated as interchangeable instructions. Share the wording you received so the appropriate next steps can be checked.
Apostille enquiry
Ask whether an apostille is applicable to your document, its issuing jurisdiction and the country where it will be presented.
Attestation / legalisation enquiry
Confirm which authorities or organisations must be involved, the order of processing and whether any additional destination-side requirements apply.
Certified copies and notarisation
Ask whether the receiving organisation wants the original, a certified copy, a notarised document or another specific format.
Translation requirements
Check the required language, translator qualifications and whether the translation itself needs certification or further processing.
Institution or issuer verification
Ask whether direct verification, a sealed transcript, an online check or another issuer-specific process is required separately.
Foreign-issued documents
Identify the issuing country and authority. Do not assume a document can be processed through the same route as a locally issued document.
Worldwide enquiries, case-specific confirmation. NGC will confirm the assistance available after reviewing the issuing country, destination, document type and receiving organisation’s instructions. This page does not list unverified country-by-country processing promises.

A practical document checklist.
Identify the document and issuing authority
Record the document title, issuing country, issuing institution or authority, and whether you hold the original, a copy or an electronic record.
Obtain the recipient’s instructions
Ask the university, employer, authority or other recipient for its exact document requirements. Include any instructions about originals, translations, copies or direct submission.
Check names and other details
Review spelling and consistency across your documents. If something is incorrect, ask the issuer or receiving organisation how it should be resolved before processing.
Describe any processing already completed
Tell us whether the document has already been notarised, verified, attested, translated or otherwise processed. Do not assume an additional step is necessary without checking.
Confirm originals, copies and handling arrangements
Before handing over originals, agree which documents are needed, who will receive them, how they will be tracked and how they will be returned. Retain an acknowledgement.
Confirm charges and timing
Ask for a breakdown of service charges, official charges, translation costs and any delivery fees. Confirm dependencies and estimated timelines without treating them as guaranteed completion dates.
Check the completed output
Review the returned document and accompanying certification for obvious discrepancies. Follow the recipient’s submission instructions and keep copies of relevant records.
No document upload is required for this enquiry. Do not enter certificate numbers, passport numbers, national identity numbers or sensitive document contents. Arrange document review through an agreed channel after the initial discussion.
